UPDATE: After having a bad experience, I want to say Tatiyana (hopefully spelling is correct) and store manager Marcus was incredible in fixing the issues that we previously had. The customer service they provided was phenomenal and they were very understanding on the issue. We ended up purchasing the vehicle and Marcus made sure to go out of his way (which he didn’t have to do) that’s what customer service is about and more importantly my wife loves her vehicle. Five stars for fixing the problem and the customer service afterwards.
My experience at Hyundai Montgomery was terrible. On Saturday, July 27, 2024, myself and my wife went to purchase a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. Our car salesman was Michael Jackson (yes Michael Jackson is his real name) who really was helpful at first, until he involved his “ sales manager” I assume, who constantly kept trying to pressure me into co signing for my wife vehicle, which I explained to him. I would check with other options, due to the fact of my wife having good credit and I felt there were better deals at other banking institutions, so there was no need for me to co sign. (Which Michael Jackson, advised me I should do as well) Fast forward to Monday, July 29, 2024, my wife was approved for the amount of the vehicle through our banking institution, with a very favorable payment and interest rate. PRIOR to giving the exact amount of the vehicle to her banking institution. I called Michael on Monday and asked him what was the total amount of the vehicle with taxes and ALL, due to me not physically having the finance payment sheet that included the exact amount. With Michael being my agent I assumed he would have this, so my banking institution can write the check out, instead he didn’t and transferred me to the same “manager” that constantly tried getting me to co-sign. At this point, it was fine because I figured he would give me the exact amount. Instead once again he gives me the run around and states that isn’t how it works and normally people just come in to figure it out. I continued to ask respectfully for the amount with taxes and all, so my wife could get the check made out. Finally he gave me the number of $34.397.00 I repeated it to him several times and he advised that it was correct. We wanted to make sure because the bank stated it could not be over that amount. We go in today, Tuesday, June 30, 2024 to purchase the vehicle. Michael told us that there was a difference and we had to pay more. I explained to him how I called prior to verify so this wouldn’t be an issue. It was told to me that, the same “manager” had give me the wrong car information and that there was nothing that could be done. I then requested to speak with another level of management, which he was nice but advised me the same thing, that nothing could be done. By the way, the same manager who was there, wasn’t there today. So he was unable to confirm the wrong information he had told me. Me and my wife decided to leave due to the dealer not holding their word, I attempted to go back in and ask Michael was there anyone that I could speak with, other than today. He stated yes, Marcus Temple who had left. I then called him, to get the names of the manger who gave me the wrong price information and the manager I spoke with on today. Michael told me no he isn’t giving me their names and that he wasn’t going to be in it. I explained to Michael that I wanted the names so once I speak with Marcus, I could have specifically who I spoke with. Michael was more worried about his review than a more willing buying customer. He also stated, none of this was going to fall back on him. I hope I can hear back from someone up above, because it’s just not fair and now we are still without a vehicle.
